The Artist
Jennifer began studying Art and Design at college where she was introduced to oil painting for the very first time. The discovery of this medium was fascinating to her as it allowed her to create a depth to her artwork that she had previously been unable to attain.
Jennifer continued her studies on Fine Art course at Swansea Metropolitan University. While at University she trained in a wide range of different skills including traditional photography, printmaking and metalwork but always she returned to painting and drawing.
Once she finished studying for her degree in Wales Jennifer returned the East Midlands to continue her work. She enjoys creating paintings and sketches in a loose, flowing style that gives movement and vibrancy to the artwork, and often uses people and figures to inspire her work.
Upcoming Events
Jennifer Ann will soon be doing a live portrait session with Ingrid Pears at her Hot Glass Studio at Thoresby Park. She will be working on a painting of Ingrid at work in her studio blowing and shaping molten glass.
